The Foundation partners with individuals, families and corporations who have created more than 400 philanthropic funds.  Thanks to them, the Foundation invested $5 million in grants and programs to the community. With assets of $111 million, the Community Foundation has provided more than $69 million in grants and scholarships to the communities it serves since inception. The Foundation is the backbone organization for the regional FutureMakers Coalition and Lee County’s Sustainability Plan. Based in Fort Myers, the Community Foundation has satellite offices located in Sanibel Island, LaBelle (Hendry County) and downtown Fort Myers. \n \nOur Sepember Program Speaker:\n \nMichele M. Hoover, CPA serves as Managing Partner of Solomon & Hoover CPAs, PLLC.  She was formerly with the Cleveland, Ohio CPA firm of Walthall, Drake & Wallace LLP for 11 years, where she represented more than 300 clients.  She has over 20 years of public and corporate accounting and auditing experience.\n \nHer client services and specialties include audit team leadership and assisting clients in securing financing, bonding, and managing construction spending, projections and forecasts.  Michele also performs audits, reviews, compilations, and tax returns.  Her wealth of experience spans a wide range of industries (construction, not-for-profit, professional services, retail, manufacturing and trade associations.  As a QuickBooks® Certified Pro Advisor since 1999, Michele teaches Mastering QuickBooks® for Intuit, the only Intuit-endorsed instruction program in the United States.\n \nGiving back to the community is important to Michele. She is a member of the Advisory Board of Directors of  Dress for Success of Southwest Florida.\n
